The novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, the novel that I wrote about in my paper, i discussed three main writing Technics that she used. She used physical descriptions, feelings, and behaviors of the characters. She used these techniques so that the readers can make a connection to the characters. Connections with characters i think is a great way to get more involved with the story. The story is much easier and better to understand when a connection is made. Harper Lee used physical descriptions to let the reader know what the character looks like, old young, baby, sad, excited, etc. She also used feelings of characters so that the reader understands what the character is feeling and why and maybe how the character would look if they knew the feelings of the character. The behaviors of the characters can make or brake the connection. Behaviors that the character does can be bad, and the reader may not like that and give up on the character. Harper Lee uses these literary devices to let the reader make a connection with a character and to better make the story more exciting.
